He is survived by: his wife Faye MacGarvie; his sons, Ian Troy MacGarvie (Sandy Stafford-Morrell) and Derek Shaun MacGarvie; his stepson Timothy Cormier (Verity); his grandchildren, Ethan Cormier, Jack MacGarive and Tye Gorham; and his siblings, Dr. Blair O'Neill (Barbara), Michael O'Neill and Dawn Lent (Ray). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
