She was predeceased by: her parents, Timothy C. McCarthy and Blanche McCarthy (Crozier); her husband Robert Leslie Burgess; her siblings, George, Donald McCarthy, Muriel Edwards and Edna Joyce McCarthy; and her brothers-in-law, Gordon Edwards and James Gamble.
She is survived by: her sons, Greg Burgess (Penny) and Guy Burgess (Alice); her grandchildren, Stephanie Seheult (Peter), Jeffrey Burgess (Christiane), Alicia Hutchings (Derrick), Andrew Burgess and Dieter Burgess (Alexandra); her great grandchildren, Cadence, Bailey, Louis-Pascal, Jan-Sebastien and Julianne; her sister Shirley Gamble; and her sister-in-law Betty McCarthy. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would appreciate donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
