She was predeceased by: her parents, Carroll Leo May and Kathleen May (Legoff); her spouse Merle Reuben John Hoben; and her siblings, Danny, Carl, Richard, Paul, David May, Barbara Isaac, Nancy Kirk, Ann Hunter, Kathy Gee, Mary Kinney, Patricia Collrin, Susan May and Margaret May.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Seelye (Jason) of Saint John and Merle Hoben (Lori) of Saint John; her grandchildren, Shelby (Eddie), Douglas and Paige; and her great grandchildren, George, Posie and Cillian.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Castle Funeral Home (309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M2L3). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Castle Fallsview Chapel (309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M2L3). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (1380 Sand Cove Rd, Saint John, NB E2M4Z8).
