It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jeannette Eugenie Rathjens of Saint John, New Brunswick, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Johannes "Hans" Rathjens; her parents, Georges Tomme and Rais Tomme (Vandenberghe); her sisters, Anna Desmet and Marcella Baetens; and her brothers-in-law, Severino Daniel, Albriek Desmet and Prosper Baetens.

She is survived by : her son Victor Poelzer (Donna) of Ontario; her great grandchild Jennifer Day (Mitchell); her sister Cecile Daniel (Gaeten); and also, Graham, Charlton Day and Brenda Poelzer (Matthew King).

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel (111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB E2K3H6).
