She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Riley and Mary Riley (McCurdy); her husband Hugh P. Whalen; her stepdaughter Lorraine Shannon (Vincent); and her siblings, James F. Riley (Claire), John G. Riley, Catherine McNulty (Gordon), Teresa Riley, Thomas J. Riley, Margaret Sherwood (Peter) and Joan O'Rourke (Antony).
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Emery Whalen (Barbara) and Carole Hamilton (Derek); and her grandchildren, Colin, Chris, Geoff, Lesley, Matthew and Kate. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
