She was predeceased by: her parents, John Schofield and Willow Schofield (Armstrong); and her sister Margaret Schofield. She is survived by: her husband Alton Paige; her children, Bruce (Christine) of New Glasgow, Brian (Ruth MacConnell) of Durham, NS, David and Penny Mallett (Lorie) of Saint John; her brothers, Gary Schofield of Ottawa, Keith and Marlyn Penney; and her grandchildren, Angela, Alison, Michael, William, Zachary, Aaron, Alana, Kyle, Tara and Brandon. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, a celebration of Joan's life will be held at a later date.
