It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen Dorothy Burns (Saint John, New Brunswick), who passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fernend Henderson and Audrey Henderson (Ewart); her husband John Michael Edward Burns; and her brother-in-law Dale Maguire. She is survived by: her children, Michael Burns (Carolyn) of Saint John, Stephen Burns (Tanya) of Saint John and Shelley Potter (Jody) of Saint John; her siblings, Judy Maguire, Peter Hanlon (Penny) and Michael Hanlon (Lynn); her grandchildren, Kayley, Andrew, Nicholas, Melissa, Noah, Chloe, Cody and Jessica; and her great grandchildren, Colton and Emilia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Castle Fallsview Funeral Home (309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M2L3). A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Castle "fallsview" Chapel (309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M2L3).
In lieu of flowers donations in Karen's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Society of NB, or a charity of the donor's choice.
