He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Buchanan and Yvonne Buchanan (Parlee); his son Kevin Buchanan; and his sister Debbie Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Karen (MacDonald); his children, Michael (Kara), Donald Ryan (Becky) and Michelle Stevens (Brett); his siblings, Wayne (Kim), Marlene Leaver (Wilkie), Cindy Creamer (Timmy) and Christina Keenan (Ernie); his brother-in-law Alan Thomas; and his grandchildren, Dylan, Gerry and June.

Due to these uncertain times and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a private family service will be held on Friday, February 19th, 2021 at 2 PM for invited guest only.
