He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Arnem and Ian Estey; his siblings, Brian Estey and Brenda Hedburg (Bud Jenkins); his father-in-law Bob Pursey; his brothers-in-law, Phil Pursey, Mark Pursey and Ian Burhoe; and his stepsister Linda Keyes.

He is survived by: his wife Pauline Estey (Pursey); his sons, Joseph (Stephanie) and John (Jenn); his grandchildren, Colby, Julia and Jackson; his stepparents, Bob Arnem and June Estey; his stepsister Darlene MacDonald; his mother-in-law Alice Pursey; his siblings-in-law, Bonny Estey, Pam Burhoe, Rob Pursey (Dee) and James Pursey (Tina); and his pets, Tiny and Mia. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fundy Home Home (Fundy Chapel) (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Fundy Chapel (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3). A burial was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at the Greenwood Cemetery.
