He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Shaw and Myrtle Shaw (Melvin); and his siblings, Violet Wilcox, Gerald Shaw and Percy Melvin.

He is survived by: his wife Leona Shaw; his children, Lester Shaw (Rhonda), Sandra Thibodeau (Wayne), Ruth Ross (Arthur), Dianne Hasselman and Rose Eidt (Raoul Goguen); his siblings, Gary Shaw (Linda) and Shirley Shaw; and his grandchildren, Jacqueline, Michelle, Robert, Bradley, Christopher, Jason, Mindi, Jennifer, Kelly, Pauline and Kenny. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
