She was predeceased by: her spouse Richard Saunders; her parent Elias Gillard; her son Douglas; and her grandchildren, Kylie and Patrick Aalund.

She is survived by: her parent Lillian Gillard (Earle); her friend Margaret Winnie; and her children, Thomas Saunders (Sharon) of Maple Ridge, BC, Pamala Johnston (George) of Saint John, Roseann McCoy (Wayne) of Vancouver, Deborah Gruben (Stephen) of Victoria, Barbara Aalund (Andrew) of Saint John, Wade Saunders (Brenda Craig) of Saint John, Earl Saunders (Marlene) of Moncton and Michael Saunders (Shelly Richard) of Saint John. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
