She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Read and Celestia Read (Trenholm); her husbands, Lloyd Dickson and Douglas Hamilton; her daughter-in-law Sibylla; her siblings, Arthur, Rueben, Harvey, Vaughan Read, Irene Simpson and Mildred Blair; and her sisters-in-law, Kay, Irene Read, Irene Hamilton and Doris Cudmore.

She is survived by: her children, Vaughan, Terrence (Janice), James (Pam Fogarty), Christopher Dickson (Frances), Julie Dickson (Mike Sullivan) and Kathryn Dickson (Duncan Houston); her stepsons, Ian Hamilton and Glen Hamilton (Clare); her grandchildren, Dr. Mark Dickson, Sarah, Gardner, Christopher, Daniel, David, Celia, Roy, Summer, Katie, James and Michael; and her siblings, Brenton Read (Faye) and Mary Goodwin. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
