It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marian Elizabeth Melvin (Saint John, New Brunswick), who passed away on December 4, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Fulton Weir McKean and Vesta McKean (McKay); and her sisters, Yvonne, Muriel, Naida and Lois of Nova Scotia.

She is survived by: her husband Art; her daughters, Diane Gerwin (Bert) of New Westminster, B. C. and Ellen Snider (Gary) of Quispamsis; and her grandchildren, Brigitte Gerwin-Venner (Matt), Nicole Gerwin (Chris Vanjoff), Daniel and Jacob Snider. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donation's to Romero House Soup Kitchen or Bobby's Hospice would be appreciated by the family.

“Deeply saddened by the passing of my Aunt Marian. Condolences to Uncle Art and all my cousins in the Snider and Gerwin families. I'm thinking of you during this difficult time. Like most who knew her, I'll always fondly remember Marian for her sense of humour and quick wit. She was also a generous host and tour guide when I visited Saint John and was very thoughtful, sending a card for every occasion. Marian loved to travel, enjoyed meeting people and making them laugh. Be at peace, Auntie.”
