With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marion Catherine Downing (Saint John, New Brunswick), who passed away on May 29, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John McTavish and Mary McTavish (Walsh); her husband Augustine Downing; and her sister Elma Harding. She is survived by: her children, Deborah (Alain Saulnier), Linda (Jamie Wright), Anne (Heather Purdy), John (Sherri Edgecombe) and Michael (Claudette); her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Mark, Kyla (Brent), Paul (Ashley), Laura (Brandon), Sarah (Ben), Erica (Brady), Alex, Adam (Stephanie) and Emily; and her great grandchildren, Freelon, Ciaran, Sam, Will, Lincoln, Levi, Theodore, Oliver, Beau, Leighton, Wrenley and Rhett.

Donations in Marion's memory may be made to Bobby's Hospice or to the charity of the donor's choice.
