She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip and Edith; her husband Hugh Barkus; her siblings, John "Pat" (Althea), Peter, Paul (Marion) and Marguerite Langille (Keith); and her nephews, Brian and David.
She is survived by: her children, Bill (Marcia), Linda Chiasson (Philippe) and Alice Bannister (Dan); her grandchildren, Andrew Chiasson, Jacqueline MacKnight (Adam), Renée Chiasson and Patrick Chiasson (Lily); her great grandchildren, Louis MacKnight, Joe MacKnight and Noah Harris; and her sister-in-law Lois Legere. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the True Life Church (30 Vincent Rd, Quispamsis, NB E2E1A2). A reception will be held on Saturday, April 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
