She was predeceased by: her parents, Mathais König and Maria König (Lindmeier); her husband Kurt Paul Kappelmann; her son Walter Kurt Kappelmann; her siblings, Leni Pilkan and Mathais König (Hais); and her nephew Otto Pilkan.

She is survived by: her daughter Ruth Saulnier (Terry); her grandchildren, Elaine Saulnier of Saint John and Paul Saulnier of Calgary, Alberta.; and her nieces, Doris Weber (Hubert) of Germany and Angela Von Twingilo Lutten of Germany. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
