He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Brooks and Georgie Brooks (Knor); his sons, Douglas and Donald Brooks; and his siblings, Gene Brooks and Alice Boutlier.
He is survived by: his wife Muriel Brooks (Lindsay); his son Bill Brooks (Julie); his grandchildren, Jamie, Kate-Lyn, Sarah, Courtney and Cameron; and his great grandchildren, Peter, Felix, Hayden-River, Amelia, Sage and Robert.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fundy Home Home (Fundy Chapel) (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Grand Bay Baptist Church (77 Woolastook Dr, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB E5K1S3).
Donations in memory of Maurice may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
