She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Dubee and Esther Dubee (Wright); her husband Thomas Hanson; her daughter Geraldine Whittaker; her granddaughter Heather Whittaker; and her great grandchild Blake Ferguson.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Hanson (Marlene), Lynn Sabean (John), Kathy Floyd (Dave) and Nancy Hanson; her stepdaughter Joan "Allie" Salvo; her son-in-law Victor Whittaker; her sister Diane Leblanc; her friend Lois Peake; and her pet Sophie. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Donations in memory of Mavis may be made to the Loch Lomond Village and to the Canadian Cancer Society.
