Medley James Whitney Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Medley James Whitney of Saint John, New Brunswick, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 15, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Medley Whitney and Cora Whitney (Black); his wife Marlene Whitney; his son Tom Whitney; his siblings, Cora McCumber, Maxine Goodine and Fenwick Whitney; and his half-brothers, Wallace, Herman, Charlie and Buck Mannett.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Densmore (George) of St. Martins, NB, Robert Whitney (Tracy) of Sussex, NB, Barbara Whitney of Saint John, NB and Elizabeth Mackie (Brian) of Abbotsford, BC; and his grandchildren, Maria, Bill (Jennifer), Dan, Nathan, Colleen, Mary, Madison, Carter and Charlotte.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Reid's Funeral Home (1063 Main St, Hampton, NB E5N5X9). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
