He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara Joan Pitt (McGuire Porter) and Clair Howard Porter; his sister Catherine Ann Porter; his stepfather G. David Pitt; his brother Paul David Pitt; and his brother-in-law Michael Dean Dore.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Lynn Porter (Dore); his children, Jennifer Barbara (Porter), Boyd (Brad) and Matthew David Winston Porter; his grandson Brandon Michael Theodore Boyd; his parents-in-law, Barbara Alyce Dore (Bate) and Dean Winston Dore; his siblings, Steven Howard Porter (Susan Baird), Claire and Tanya L. Pitt; his nephew Isaac Steven Porter; and his nieces, Francis Marie Dore and Holly McNabb. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends.
