He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack DeMerchant and Joyce DeMerchant. He is survived by: his wife Patricia DeMerchant (Clarke); his friend Chicago Black Hawks; his daughter Tanya DeMerchant (Scott) of Ottawa, ON; his stepchildren, Daniel and Jennifer of Vancouver, BC; and his brothers, Chris DeMerchant (Brenda) of Perth-Andover and Greg (Charlene) of Fredericton, NB. He is also survived by seven grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Guests are asked to enter the funeral home using the courtyard entrance, where staff will greet and assist you with covid-19 protocol.
