He was predeceased by: his father Stewart Patterson. He is survived by: his mother Diane Clark (Richards); his spouse Laurie Patterson (Neumann); his son Luke; his sisters, Sandra and Susan; and his cousins, Brent Grant, Joe Ness and Bev Nesbit. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
