He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Smith and Eva Smith; his siblings, Jeanette Nickerson, Mildred Harris, Clarence and Clyde Edwin; his son Reuben Smith; and his stepdaughter Tanya Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Smith (Maher); his daughters, Eve Sears, Becky Moore and Martha Brillant (Sean); his stepchildren, Amanda Stevens (John), Colland Harris (Angie) and Coleen Crawford (Billy); his sister Blanche DesChamp (Roll); and his siblings-in-law, Doreen Green, Carrie Cronk and James Harris (Elsie Smith). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
