He was predeceased by: his father William "Bill" Dowd; and his sister Christine. He is survived by: his mother Joan Dowd; his siblings, Howard Dowd (Laura) and Lynn Dowd-Beckett (Henry); and also Missy. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
