Phyllis Sutherland Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Sutherland (Saint John, New Brunswick), born in Sackville, New Brunswick, who passed away on April 10, 2021 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank West and Marjorie West (Bates); her husband Donald Fraser Sutherland of New Glasgow, NS; her daughter Jean; and her close friend Glen MacDonald.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Keddy (John), Kathie Sutherland (Craig Miller), Barbara St. Cyr (Steve), Mary Burnett (Gordon) and Donald Sutherland (Roger Pulver); her grandchildren, Jennifer Keddy (Stuart Levinson), Jay Keddy, Sandy Miller, Jonathan Miller, Angus Miller, Robyn Thiesen (Peter), Ben Burnett (Katie McTiernan), Laura Burnett, Oliver Sutherland and Alasdair Sutherland; her great grandchildren, Ava Levinson, Grant Levinson and Rose Thiesen; and her sister Ellen Ayer of Moncton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a service will be held at a later date when family and friends can gather.
Donations in Phyllis' name may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
