He was predeceased by : his parents, Tom Bernard and Amelia Bernard (Elliott) of Saint John; his grandson Kyle Raymond Thomas Bernard; his brother Jack Bernard; and his siblings-in-law, Roger King, Art Skanes and Ann Byers.
He is survived by : his wife Sally Bernard (Saunders); his sons, Dwayne Bernard (Pam) and Kevin Bernard (Heather); his grandchildren, Brittany, Colton and Miya Bernard; his siblings, Debbie Farren (Rick), Heather King (Fred Lawton), Cheryl Clark (Ian), Wayne Bernard (Charlene) and Bryan Bernard; and his siblings-in-law, Suzie Chestnut (Stewart), Linda Robertson (John), Molly Delaney (Chris), Barry Saunders (Donna), Mike Saunders (Marie), Bob Saunders (Chris), Johnny Saunders (Karen) and Donald Byers (Yvonne). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
