He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Barton and Violet Barton; his wife Joan Barton; his daughter Kimberly "Kim" Barton; and his siblings, John, David, Douglas, Kenneth "Kenny", Shirley, Frances and Donna Marie.

He is survived by: his brother James "Jimmy" Barton; his grandchildren, Robert Graves (Rob) and Natalie Graves; his great grandchildren, Connor Graves, Preston Graves and Parker Graves; and his friends, Myrna Graves and Jana McEahern.
