He was predeceased by: his mother Annie Leavitt (Proctor); and his brother David. He is survived by: his father Bernard "Pat" Leavitt; his children, Scott Leavitt (Cindy) of Saint John, NB and Mandy Blagden (Curtis) of Musquash, NB; his grandchildren, Cooper, Calvin and Owen; and his siblings, Brenda Baldwin (Robin), Bernie Leavitt (Darlene) and Angie Gaudet (Jason). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

As keeping with Covid-19 restrictions, services for Rick will be private.

In Rick's memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer or to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Burial Location St. George Rural Cemetery, St. George NBRequested Charity Charlotte County Cancer or NB Heart & Stroke Foundation.
