He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund McCarthy and Louise McCarthy; his wife Gail McCarthy; and his siblings, Jack, Audrey, Nora and Louise.
He is survived by: his children, Brian McCarthy (Roberta), Peter Erasmus (Jessie Horesay), Robert McCarthy (Karen), Cathy Guthrie (Carl), Fran Erasmus (Wali) and Laurie Erasmus (Glen Gallop). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
