She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry McKillop and Adeline McKillop (McKenzie); her sisters, Barbara, Edith and Ann; and her daughter Nancy (Olaf "Al").

She is survived by: her friend Doris; her children, Rick (Carol), Deborah (Bruce) and Laura; her son-in-law Grant; her grandchildren, Rebecca, Jeffrey (Nazanin), Jennifer (Ryan), Cheyenne (Howard), Cole, Ashley (Andy), Kristen (Aaron) and Mehmet (Gabrielle); and her great grandchildren, Avery (Jordan), Blake, Georgia, Christopher, Jacob, Nolan, Nate, Owen and Terence. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In Ruth's memory the family would appreciate donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or The Alzheimer Society of Canada.
