It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shannon Mary Dewar Gilker (Saint John, New Brunswick), who passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 38, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Rhoda Gilker; and her grandparents, James Malcolm Gilker Sr., Mary, William Cody and Geraldine Likely.

She is survived by: her father James Malcolm "Mack" Gilker; her stepmother Judy Gilker; her stepsiblings, Craig McKillop (Tanya) and Karen McKillop; her aunt Christine McKay (David); her pet Poppy; and also Diane O'Connor. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Shannon's honour can be made to the Latimore Lake Cat Rescue or the charity of your choice.
