She was predeceased by: her mother Margaret Kay Marr; her husband Joseph Richard; her children, Joseph "Joe" Richard and Mary Connell; her grandson Jason Richard; and her friend Jim Fox.

She is survived by: her children, Carol Cooper (Kenneth), Diane Buchanan (George), Wayne Richard (Sharon), John Richard (Lisa) and Patricia Kelly (Neil); and her children-in-law, Kathy Richard and Rick Connell. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fundy Funeral Home (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Fundy Chapel (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3).
