He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Mawhinney and Stella Mawhinney (Campbell); his stepfather George Janes; and his sisters, Grace Janes and Eileen Ingersoll.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie V Mawhinney (Ogden) of Maces Bay; his children, Stewart Mawhinney (Angela), Scott Mawhinney and Stephanie Mawhinney-Wright (Scott) of Maces Bay; and his grandchildren, Nevin Mawhinney, Miranda Mawhinney and Kashi Wright.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fundy Seaside Baptist Church (1015 NB-790, Maces Bay, NB E5J1S1).
