She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hayes and Elsie Hayes; her sister Kathleen Folkins; and her nieces, Debby Saunders, Susan and Diane Folkins.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Valerie Beck (Harvey), Lynn Holt (Rick), Kathy Livingstone (Byron), Theresa MacMillan (Curtis), Krista Bietz, Paul Folkins (Anne), Jack Folkins (Rose), Randy Folkins (Donna) and Kirby Folkins (Dave Walker); her friend John Mudge; her foster brother Ronald Burke; and also, Amanda and Mackenzie Burke. She is also survived by her family and friends.
Donations in Sylvia's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Association.
