He was predeceased by: his parents, Terrence Benedict Furlong (Rose) and Inez Furlong; his son Terrence Benedict; his siblings, Madeline, Verley, Joan, Willis, Norman, Allison and Brian; his parents-in-law, Pat Daigle and Anna Daigle; his brothers-in-law, Ralph Benoit, Don Marsden, Robert Burke, Kenneth Coplaugh and Borden Curtis; and his pet Trixie.
He is survived by: his wife Rosella (Rose); his daughter Cheryl (Terry Roach); his grandchildren, Shannon, Jason (Kristi) and Darren (Fernanda); his daughter Cathleen (Leo Donovan); his grandchildren, Julia (Harrison), Cathleen, Colleen (Alex), Liam and Leah; his daughter Colleen (Michael Salgado); his grandchildren, Dr. David Salgado (Rachel), Jonathan (Kelsey), Anna (Nate) and Emma (Connor); his son Tim (Mary); his grandsons, Jeremy and Jared (Maddie); his child Thom (Karen); his grandsons, Curtis (Zamantha) and Colin (Steve Morrison); his daughter Rose (Peter Sentell); his grandchildren, Samantha (Tyler), Douglas (Taylor) and James (Melissa); his child Terri-Lynn (Mark Bujold); his grandchildren, Bella (Kelson) and Ben; his great grandchildren, Jack, Joey, Sofia, Hudson, Ember, Cecilia, Claire, Jacob, Theo, Aidan, Stella, Parker, Max and Aubrey; his siblings, Helen, Sterling (Doris), Rosalie (Ken), Glenna, Elaine, Carlene (Gilbert), Donna and Sharon; and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Ann Furlong, Cindy Furlong, Patsy Benoit, Clayton Tucker and Gerald Daigle. He is also survived by 60 nieces and nephews, as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fundy Home Home (Fundy Chapel) (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3).
In Lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated by the family to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation or to the donor's choice.
