It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Richmond Matheson (Saint John, New Brunswick), who passed away on November 25, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Urquhart (Law) and Murray Donald Urquhart; his wife Bella Matheson (Gautreau); his son Harvey; his grandson Ryan; his brothers, Harry, Bryan and John Urquart; and his sons-in-law, Al and Brian.
He is survived by: his children, Walter Jr. (Lisa) of Ontario and Christine Carpenter (Leo) of Manitoba; his stepchildren, Lisa Hooper (Bill) of Rothesay, Paula Dunn of Saint John, April McCullough of Saint John and Robert McLaughlin (Marlene) of Rothesay; his siblings, William "Bill" Matheson of Bolton, ON, Murray Urquhart (Shannon Young-Urquhart) of Bedford, NS and Ceclia Kennedy (Willard) of Hampton, NB; and his sister-in-law Lynn Urquart (Cindy Urquhart) of Norton, NB. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
