He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Baird and Hazel Baird (Jones); his siblings, David Baird, Sharon and Gail Baird; his brothers-in-law, Al Calhoun, Chesley Wheaton and Paul Dobson; his mother-in-law Amy Sutton; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Sutton.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Sutton; his sons, David Baird (Angela Thomas) and Tyler Baird; his grandchildren, Avery Baird, Regina Baird and Marcus Gafaru; and his siblings, Glen Baird (Helen), Sandra Wheaton, Heather Dobson and Susan Calhoun. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations in Wayne's memory can be made to Community Autism Centre Saint John, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
