He was predeceased by: his significant other Gaetane Lavoie; his parents, Guy J. Cyr and Bella Martin; and his brother Yvon Cyr. He is survived by: his sons, Guy (Marie-France Durepos) of St-Leonard-Parent and Georges (Kelly Boucher) of Terrebonne; his grandchildren, Maxime, Guillaume, Heidi, Gabrielle, Annabelle, Ashley, Aurélie and Alexandre; his great grandchild Billy; and his siblings, Claudette (late Olio Poitras) of Saint-André, Lorraine (Guy Martin) of Irishtown, Gloria (late Jean-Paul LeBlanc) of Bouctouche, Raymond (Venette Pelletier) of Grand Falls, Rita (Réal Ruest) of Siegas, Yvette (Réal Parent) of Saint-André, Thérèse (Raymond Tardif) of St-Léonard-Parent, Maurice (Shirley Michaud) of St-Léonard-Parent, Lucien (Louiselle Page) of St-Léonard-Parent, Eva (Ronald Dubé) of Moncton, Paul (late Carole Corbin) of Saint-Léonard and Brigitte Cyr (Richard Dubé) of Grand Falls. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the O'Regan's Funeral Home (515 Everard H Daigle Boul, Grand-Sault, NB E3Z 2R5). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Maison Funéraire O'Regan Funeral Home (515 Everard H Daigle Boul, Grand-Sault, NB E3Z 2R5).
