He was predeceased by : his parents, Prosper Richard and Domitilde Richard (Bordage); his wife Maria Richard (Thébeau); and his siblings, Yvonne, Armand, Edmond, Fernand and Aurèle.

He is survived by : his children, Réjean Richard of Shediac Cape, Paulette Allison (Roland) of Dieppe and Lucille Robichaud (Jean-Pierre) of Saint-Louis; his grandchildren, Michelle (Adam Upward), Chantal (Jean-Luc Caissie), Marilyne (Adam Carruthers), Gabrielle (Samuel Vautour), Rachelle and Catherine (Brandon Feeney); his great grandchildren, Malec, Élodie Caissie and Maverick Carruthers; his siblings, Lina Vautour (late Armand), Clara Chevarie (late Camille), Bertha Aucoin (Jean-Paul), Rosa Daigle (Dolor), Émile Richard (late Elva) and Émerie Richard (Annette); and his brother-in-law Roger Daigle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
