He was predeceased by: his parents, Morel Michaud and Aline Michaud (Gagnon); his mother-in-law Louise Cyr; and his nephew Nicholas Bellefleur. He is survived by: his significant other Tina Cyr; his children, Jasmine Parent (André) of Grand Falls, Yanik Michaud (Julie-Pierre) of Grand Falls and Dominic Michaud (Mindy) of Drummond; his grandchildren, Xavier, Élyze, Paisley, Myles and Maverick; his sister Patricia Michaud (Mario Bellefleur) of Riley Brook; his nephew Zachary Bellefleur; his father-in-law Thomas Cyr; Aline Michaud. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
