He was predeceased by: his parents, Amédée Maillet and Ozélie Maillet (Poirier); his son Joseph; his grandson Jacques; and his siblings, Eric, Jean-Paul, Aubrey, Germaine, Edmée and Lorraine.
He is survived by: his spouse Alcida Maillet (Despres); his children, Ginette Savoie (Paul), Robert (Lynn) and Marc (Charlene); his grandchildren, Nathalie (Denis), Michel (Jocelyne), Josette (Timmy), Nadine (Marc), Nicolas, Julie and Sophie; his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Mason, Megan and Catherine; and his brothers, Yvon (Yvonne), Alonzo (Andréa) and André (Yvette). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Due to the pandemic, private visitations and a private Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche at a later date.
