She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Alexander McEwen and Violet McEwen (Kennedy); her husband Harold; her son Derrick; and her brother-in-law David Keith.

She is survived by: her sisters, Sheila Steeves (Gary) of Calgary, Alberta and Sharon Murray (late Ned) of Scoudouc, N. B..
