He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Geraldine "Gerry" Dayton (Grant); his parents, Frank M. Dayton and A. Louise Dayton (Trites); and his sisters, Alice Lambroughton (late David) and Frances Crandall (late Don).
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Eaton (Dave Lovely) of Brampton, ON, Grant Dayton (Shelley) of Stratford, PEI, Joanna Nicholson (Scott) of St. Andrews, NB and Margot Estabrooks (Todd) of Moncton, NB.; his grandchildren, Paige Harris (Jon), Kirk Eaton (Lily), Myles Dayton, Madison Nabuurs (John), Charlotte Nicholson (Devin Elsemore), Allister Nicholson, Cole and Marley Estabrooks; his sister Carol Mallory; his stepgranddaughter Ashley Estabrooks Jones (Kevin); his great grandchildren, Archie Harris, Harry Nabuurs and Amelia Nabuurs; and his stepgreat-granddaughters, Evelyn and Kate Jones. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Salisbury Funeral Home (3350 NB-106, Salisbury, NB E4J3H3).
