He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Russell and Hilda Russell (Ramsay); his wives, Barbara and Jennie Lewis; his brother Stanley; and his children, Carol, Robin and Gregory.

He is survived by: his children, Peter, Drew, Randy, Timothy and Stewart (Robin). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren.
