He was predeceased by: his parents, Errol Gillies and Tina Gillies (Henry); his former wife Carole Alward of Havelock, NB.; his brothers, Roy, Lloyd, Leslie and Donald; his sister-in-law Carolyn Gillies; and his nephew Todd Colpitts.
He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Janice (Akapelwa Mweemba), Sharon (Tim Fawcett) and Brett (Marcy Gillies); his grandchildren, Lauren, Jenna, Kalinda, Hillary, Taylor and Julia; his great grandchildren, Asher, Celeste, Kieran, Ari and Kenna; and his siblings-in-law, Joan Gillies, Donna Gillies, Ardith Colpitts (Dave), Diana Hall and Brent Alward.
