Il laisse dans le deuil : son épouse Jacqueline Losier; ses enfants, Jean-Robert Basque (Ginette Allain), Raymond Losier (Manon Robichaud), Johanne Losier (Néri Basque) et Gina Losier; sa soeur Olivine (feu Wilbert Boudreau); ses frères, Stan Losier (Rita) et Aimé Losier (Raymonde); ses petit-enfants, Marisa Basque, Eric Basque, Pascale Basque (Gabriel Basque), Maxime Basque et Michaël Losier; et son arrière-petit-fils Ryan Basque. Il laisse également dans le deuil plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-sœurs, neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines et amis.

“Dear Jackie and family, Adam and I are saddened to hear of Edmund's passing. He was a one of kind soul and so sweet to us. Jackie and Edmund welcomed us into their home and homestead and taught us so much about our family. As a resident of BC, our trip to NB was one of the best trips of my life. The inspirational note attached to my tea sachet read “One who knows how to enjoy life does not need riches”. So true, and that was Uncle Edmond. He was a bright light in this world and we are so happy to have known him. How we will miss his stories, lobster feasts, and twinkle in his eye.
