He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Gahan (Mark) and Katherine Gahan; his siblings, Kelsie Carr, Joe, Dorothy Burrell, John, Irven, Tom and Ranald; and his great grandchild Gabriella.

He is survived by: his brother Ltd; his wife Opal; his siblings, Harold, Raymond and Katie Cormier of Ontario; his daughters, Katherine (Mike) of Oshawa, Angela of St Andrew's and Kelsie Sullivan (Delton); and his great grandchildren, Destiny, Desirae, Dontay, Dallon, Kcee, Jase, Cali, Cohen, Sylis, Dax, Briella, Kayden, Liam and Miaya. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers arrangements donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
