He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Petitpas and Agnes Petitpas (LeBlanc); his former wife Diane Benoît; his siblings, Rita McGregor, Shirley Hughes, Robert (Norman), Halifax and Beverley; and his close friend Marie.

He is survived by: his son Paul Benoît of Campbellton; and his siblings, Betty Morrisey of Shediac, Christine Petitpas of Shediac Bridge and Danny (Peggy) of Kensington, PEI..
