He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Ed" and Bernadette Blanchard (Lawlor); his wife Rose-Anna Blanchard (Boudreau); and his siblings, Claudia Fisher, Paul and Brian.

He is survived by: his son James "Junior" of Shediac; his siblings, Carol Blanchard of Moncton, Sharon VanDentemple (Andy) of Sebringville, ON and Wayne (Claudette) of Ville St; and his siblings-in-law, Line Blanchard of Dieppe and Glen Fisher of Truro, NS. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In memory of Barry, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Dialysis Department or to the Cardiology Department) would be appreciated by the family.
