He was predeceased by: his parents, Odilon Belliveau and Sara Belliveau (Belliveau); and his siblings, Claudette Petitpas and Bernard. He is survived by: his brothers, Big and Gérard; his wife Dorine (Caissie); his daughters, Susan Belliveau (Mark Lenihan) of Ottawa and Diane Belliveau (Paul Walsh) of Moncton; his siblings, Marie-Paule Richard (late Rhéal) of Shediac, Thomas (Agnès) of Dieppe, Roberte Gauvin (late Fred) of Shediac, Annette Melanson (Émile) of Shediac, Donat (Cécile) of Pointe and Monique Richard-Léger (late Jean); and his siblings-in-law, Jeannette Belliveau of Bouctouche and Hector Petitpas of Montréal. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
